Pope calls on Iran to promote "appropriate political solutions" in the Middle East

The pontiff discussed the issue with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, he received for 40 minutes in Rome.

Pope Francis on Tuesday urged Iran to play "a significant role" in the Middle East are "promoting appropriate policy solutions," disposing of "the spread of terrorism" and weapons trafficking, said Holy See in a statement.

Florida State settles lawsuit with Jameis Winston accuser Erica Kinsman for $950,000

Florida State has settled a federal Title IX lawsuit with Erica Kinsman, a former student who said she was raped by quarterback Jameis Winston in 2012. The settlement was announced on Monday, more than a year after she initially filed the complaint in federal court. FSU agreed to pay Kinsman $950,000 – an amount that includes attorney’s fees – as well as make a five-year commitment to awareness, prevention and training programs. Coastal towns: 'This flooding is worse than Sandy'

Beach communities in New Jersey and Delaware were evaluating the aftermath from the massive winter storm as high tides washed out dunes and brought icy water into the streets.
